How Long Does it Take to See Results From Medifast?

We live in an instant gratification society and this is very much true in terms of weight loss and dieting. We expect to start losing weight and to start shedding pounds almost immediately. After all, we want a return on our investment in terms of time and results. I’m often asked questions like “how long will it take until I start seeing real results with Medifast ” or “how long until I can really tell that my body is starting to change and drop a lot of weight ” I’ll answer these questions in the following article.
What Type Of Results Can You Expect On Medifast : Well, that depends on a few factors such as how much you weigh when you start, how well you follow the directions for your lean and green meal, and how and if you cheat just a little bit. In general though, if you follow along pretty well and are pretty diligent you can expect to get into ketosis in 3 - 4 days. In case you don’t know, ketosis is a metabolic state that helps you burn fat much more quickly. To get there, you need to eat a high amount of protein and a low amount of both calories and carbohydrates.
This is actually mostly covered for you. The company sends you most of your daily foods (five per day.) You will make one “lean and green” meal each day and although you’re given very specific instructions, it’s very important that you remember the low carbohydrate goal because doing so will help to keep you in ketosis. For those with more to lose, it will take a bit longer before the very dramatic results begin to add up and to show themselves. However, you can hurry this along with some gentle toning and exercise. Even power walking / biking and using resistance bands or hand weights can quickly begin to give you a leaner, more defined appearance. And, as the fat begins to retreat so that you can actually see your muscle definition, you’ll begin to see very noticeable results that are impossible to ignore.
In my own case, I began to see results after the first week. I believe I lost four pounds the first week and this trend continued on so that by the end of the first month, I actually had lose fitting clothing as a result. Once I begin to add in a bit of power walking and some gentle toning, my results came at a quicker pace and were even more dramatic. These little victories very quickly add up. I believe that I had to shop for new clothing at after about the second month.
