Lose Weight With the Calorie Shifting Diet

If you have ever tried starving yourself to lose weight, you know that it doesn’t really work. Any time that your are depriving your body of precious calories, it sends signals to your brain that in turn send your system into starvation mode. It literally thinks that you are in trouble, so your metabolism goes down and it begins storing fat. This is a natural process that can be easily reversed by spreading out calories over several meals each day.

It is fairly easy to eat several times each day, and as long as you are eating full meals you will have little desire to snack in between because you will not feel hungry. The key here is to keep things simple. Alternating the amount of calories you take in for each meal will make your body think you are gorging yourself, when in fact you are not. This will make your metabolism increase. This is the basic concept of calorie shifting and it is a proven way to lose weight.

Creating a menu beforehand is one thing you will need to do before you get started. You will also need to figure out how many calories your body requires each day, then do some simple math to calculate how much you need to cut out each day in order to drop some weight. Try to keep junk food out of your meals and try to balance these meals as much as you can. The beauty of this diet is that even if you eat some foods that are less than healthy, it won’t really matter as long as you are not exceeding the caloric intake that you decided on from the start.
