It’s True… and don’t even pretend that you didn’t know. DIETS don’t work!!! Doctors have confirmed this.

… Of course there are expensive weight loss ’secrets’, pills, drugs and a host of products that claim to work. Of these, are certainly appropriate in many cases, but by large they are not. Many of these are actually health hazard.

So what does work. Surely, something must have proven itself over time. Yes…. Something has proven itself time and time again. Something you know but, probably don’t want to know. A Lifestyle Change!

Surprisingly, you don’t need to stop eating or exercise for extreme hours. Just a simple Lifestyle Change, can have an enormous effect and result in weight loss within a few days. And as a result… You will feel way Better, over all.

A few tips to get started :

Consume Your Food Slower :

? Chewing Food between 10-12 times, prior to swallowing. By doing this, the digestive process has been started by your saliva, thus reducing the amount of work your stomach has to do.

Avoid Sodas :

? On average, soda has around 14 teaspoons of sugar. These are empty calories and carbs … this also results in your blood sugar level being sent on a roller coaster. Not forgetting that this adds on pounds, cripples your immune system for hours and leaves your body relatively defenseless against infections and viruses.

One soda alone, can increase your weight by 15lbs. Avoid the soda and see visible results, fast.

In addition, certain cancers have been linked to the increased consumption of sodas and the loss of minerals from our bodies.

Drink Water :

? This is amongst the most important thing one can do for your health. Water flushes toxins from our system and assist in digestion. Start your day with a glass of water and try to at least drink 8 - 10 glasses throughout the day.

Eating Out :

? Restaurants often serve portions up to 8 times the suggested serving size, split this with your dining companion and rather compliment your meal with a salad, vegetables or soup.

The Lemonade Diet - Embracing the Challenge

The Master Cleanse aka the Lemonade Diet is a fast that promotes weight loss and many other benefits. Stanley Burroughs created this diet in hopes of helping people to detox and feel better. Many people feel that completing the lemonade diet is quite a challenge. Not every person who attempts this diet will be successful.

The master cleanse is meant to be a method of body detox. One benefit of this method of detox is weight loss. Many people use it for just that reason. There are other benefits that have been reported as well. These benefits include increased energy, clearer skin, clarity in one’s thoughts and a relief of many aches and pains.

The master cleanse in its original form is a fast that most people don’t complete after experiencing the effects of the first few days. Some participants stated that the lack of solid food left them feeling weak and out of it. There are reports that the cravings can be hard to fight.

There are also reports that this liquid diet has the opposite effect. Some participants have reported that they have had no problems going without solid food. It has been stated that the lemonade mixture provided what they needed to make it through the day.

Some of the side effects cause individuals to think twice about using this diet. It is said that the taste of the salt water flush is horrible and the results tend to keep you in one place to avoid embarrassment. It has also been reported that the herbal tea really works well. People have complained that the tea causes severe cramps until the individual has a bowel movement.

There are reports that state that the warmth of the bowel movement determines the level of toxins released. It has been said that the warmer the movement, the higher the level of toxins.

The Master Cleanse Diet was initially brought to light by Stanley Burroughs who designed this specifically to fulfill the purpose of detoxing. He designed this diet way back in the 1940s and from then on people have been using the diet to cleanse their body from various toxins that have got accumulated over long periods of time. This is a detox diet which needs the person to be on an absolute fast. One should refrain from eating any solid foods and will have to survive only on the lemonade diet which is the main part of the diet. Apart from the lemonade drink which is made out of the juice extracted from organic fresh lime, grade B maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne pepper all mixed into purified water, one also has to drink the salt water flush on an empty stomach daily in the morning and also drink herbal tea which will act as a laxative. This liquid diet will help in flushing the toxins out of the body and will restore the homeostasis of the internal organs in the body.

As a result of this cleansing process one experiences a loss in weight because the excess weight of the toxins is reduced from the body’s weight. This diet can be carried out for a period of three days, ten days or forty days. The diet had suffered many criticisms too in the hands of the skeptics who thought that just these three ingredients could not bring about so many positive results to the body. But, this diet has got a fresh lease on life when celebrities themselves have started taking to the diet. They took to the diet to reduce their weight in a short span of time. Beyonce Knowles lost around 20 pounds in just ten days. Robin Quivers too had lost a whopping 75 pounds following this diet.

Beyonce had gone public and related all her experiences on the Master Cleanse Diet on the Oprah Winfrey show. She also expressed that the diet was not all the easy to follow too. She said that staying away from solid foods for ten long days was really a difficult thing as there were far too many temptations. But the positive outcome of reduction in weight was the single motivating factor for her to pull through. After having seen her post the diet, there has been a surge in the number of people who have started going on this diet.
