Heidi Klum swears that being able to get back to a sexy figure only two months after giving birth is attributed to the Ultimate New York Diet by David Kirsch. The diet is basically the same as any other low carbohydrate diet, but its claim to fame is the relatively short time frame of just two weeks.

Heard of that expression before? It simply means that New Yorkers seem to be always in a rush, hence they have shorter minutes. Everything must be accomplished in a flash, including diets. David Kirsch promises at least fourteen pounds or five inches off your waist within the first two weeks.
How?
The program is divided into three phases. The first phase takes two weeks of restrictive eating. You are only allowed eight hundred to nine hundred calories a day. Things that are forbidden are coffee, alcohol, starchy carbohydrates and bread, dairy products, sweets, fruits, and bad fats. You are encouraged to eat nuts, lean meat, mushroom, salmon, and loads of whey protein. Phase two is similar; only you are permitted an additional serving of carbohydrates a day, increasing allowed calorie intake to one thousand. Phase three takes your whole life. Dairy products are now on the table. Sorry for the rest of the forbidden ones as they remain to be prohibited forever.
All throughout the phases, meaning for the rest of your life, the dieter must engage in prescribed exercise routines or the equivalent. Although, one does not have to purchase expensive gym equipment nor memberships as the exercises mainly utilize your own body weight, a medicine ball, and an exercise ball.
