The Master Cleanse Diet is a simple diet solution that involves forgoing solid foods for 10 days and consuming exclusively a specific liquid diet plan. This is regarded as an emergency diet because even if it can be challenging for the dieter, they can still be able to see the desired result in as fast as 3 days in the diet. Unlike other dieters currently fashionable today, it is quick and relatively cheaper.

Most of those who have tried out this diet either wants to lose some weight for aesthetic reasons while others wish to gain a healthier body. This diet can be able to do both in a short span of time that is why up to now it is still one of the most favorite diet options by a lot of people.

Despite the rigorous strictures of this diet, this is still used decades after it was created and made popular by Stanley Burroughs. The diet was designed to be a solution for those that have complications to their colon. It was conceptualized to help them find relief to their health problems. Since Burroughs was not a doctor, it was not really supported by the medical community at first but after a few years of flying under the radar, it has emerged as an effective diet program approved by even some doctors as well as nutritionists.

The diet was different from what it was ages ago. It has been modified by experts to be more effective and healthier as well. But even if it has changed, it still follows the same basic premise, by consuming an all liquid diet made from lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup can help cleanse the body of the toxins we acquire from our day to day interaction with the environment as well as from our unhealthy eating habits.

The Master Cleanse Diet has changed through the years. It is not the same diet that was so strenuously done by people a long time ago in order to lose weight. It has been reformulated into something that dieters may actually find easier to do but not as less effective.
